Payment Options
For your convenience, you can make your payment in either Canadian or US funds using various payment methods. This document describes how we will accept payment for your purchases.
 As of September 2004, we're no longer accepting online credit card payments due to the rising costs of processing these payments. Please submit your payment via our Paypal or certified cheque options. |
Credit Card Payments
We can accept payments directly online from anywhere in the world if you use a VISA, Mastercard, or American Express credit card.
If you make your payment using a VISA or Mastercard credit card we can bill you in either Canadian or US funds (however at the moment we can only bill you in Canadian funds if you use an American Express card). If you would like to be billed in US funds AND use an American Express card, please make your payment through PayPal (see below).
Please note that if you have chosen to be billed in foreign currency, a corresponding amount in your own currency will be calculated by your financial institution (we have no control over this process).
By using a credit card for your purchase, you assert and represent that you are the authorized cardholder of the card, bound by the terms and conditions of the card issuer. Our Secure Server employs industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt and safely transfer all of your confidential information through the Internet. Please read Security for more information about our security practices.
You may make a credit card payment using any of the following methods:
a) Online Direct
This is the quickest and easiest way to make your payment, and simply requires you to enter all of the requested credit card information.
Our system will immediately authorize your payment online and if your payment is approved, an order confirmation will be displayed (with a copy being sent to your e-mail address).
If the bank declines your payment, you will be given alternate payment options at that time.
b) 2-Channel Option
This method allows you to split up the transfer of your credit card information into two unrelated communications channels for increased security. It is extremely unlikely that someone could intercept both of these transmissions to obtain all of your credit card information.
In order to use this method, you must select the 2-Channel payment checkbox on the Payment Options page AND enter the first 12 digits of your credit card number and all remaining payment information (your credit card can NOT be processed without the missing digits).
After you submit your order, you will be given telephone, fax and e-mail contacts to send us the remaining digits of your credit card number (only you know how and when you will send this information).
We will send you an e-mail once we have authorized your payment. If the bank subsequently declines your payment, we will contact you and request payment in another form.
PayPal Payments
If you are concerned about payment security on our web site or you would like to use a credit card that we currently do not support, you may also make your payment through PayPal.com (a third party).
In order to use this method, you must select the PayPal payment checkbox on the Payment Options page. When you press the Accept button on the Order Request Form page we will connect you directly to the PayPal web site where your can submit your payment.
We will send you an e-mail and begin to process your order as soon as we have withdrawn your payment from PayPal.
Cheque Payments
Cheque payments may be made payable in either Canadian or US funds; however if you send us a payment in a foreign currency (different than you have chosen to be billed in), the converted value of your payment (as calculated by our financial institution), must be equal to or greater than the invoice total before we can process your order.
Unfortunately, we can not refund any excess amounts due to currency exchange conversions and we would prefer to receive payments payable in the currency that you have chosen to be billed in.
In order to use this method, you must select the Cheque payment checkbox on the Payment Options page. You should include a printed copy of the Order Request Form page with your payment and forward these to the address below.
We will send you an e-mail and begin to process your order as soon as your payment is approved by our financial institution.
You may make a cheque payment using any of the following methods:
a) Cashier's Cheque (bank certified cheque)
b) Money-Order
