 Shipment and Tax Information

We want to be up front with you and let you know exactly how and when you will receive your order.  This document describes our shipment practices.

Shipment Method

We use FAST, GUARANTEED shipping and most orders are delivered directly to your door within a week.

We have shipment operations based from both Canada and South East Asia, and we send your order from the closest shipment centre that has your item(s) in stock.  In most cases we can offer you the choice of sending your order by a Priority Premium Delivery service (such as FedEx or DHL), or a Premium Delivery service.

Selecting the Priority Premium service ensures that your order will arrive the fastest (5-7 days if all items are in stock ) and it is the most convenient way to obtain your order.  We will send you an e-mail specifying the Shipment Tracking number of your shipment should you wish to check the status of it online.

In most cases, we can also offer you a Premium Delivery service which costs significantly less than other couriers (however this service may not be available for all items, such as paintings).  Also these shipments may take a little longer than other couriers and you may have to pick up your order at your local postal office.

We will also send you an e-mail specifying the Shipment Tracking number of a Premium Delivery shipment however, you may or may not be able to track it yourself online (for more information about this click here).


Delivery Time

We always send your order as soon as possible, and if we have your item(s) in stock this means that we send it the day after you place your order.  The maximum time required to receive your order is a combination of the Production days and the shipment transit time.  Therefore we give you our best estimate of how long it will take for you to receive your order even if we don't have your item(s) in stock.

Unfortunately, like all stores, we can't absolutely guarantee a delivery time due to several factors outside of our control such as, clearing shipments into and out of different countries, inaccurate delivery information, postal delays and general capacity limitations.


Shipment Charges

We only charge you what it costs us to deliver your order (e.g. we don't charge you any additional shipment or handling fees! ).  In fact, for most of the items that we sell, we have actually subsidized the cost of shipment as a value-added service for you.  Therefore, it would be much more expensive for you to ship these items yourself, directly from their source country.

International shipment costs are quite expensive and they are based on a complex combination of the total weight, volume (width, length, height), destination and whether we can send your order from our Canada or South East Asia shipment centre.  Therefore it is difficult to tell you the correct shipment cost until you specify exactly which items you would like to purchase (for more information about this click here).

Our system automatically calculates the exact shipment cost that we will charge you prior to you submitting your order (so you always have the option to cancel the process if you choose).  However, since shipment charges are not based on a simple Per Item fee, it is much less expensive to purchase several items all at once rather than separately.

If you would like to resell our items, we also offer substantial product discounts for orders of 10 or more items.  This combined with the incremental shipment discount for sending multiple items all at once, results in a highly competitive cost for Resellers.


Sales Taxes

We are required to collect an additional 7% for our national Goods and Services Tax (GST) if your order is being delivered in Canada and an additional 8% for our Provincial Sales Tax (PST) if your order is being delivered to Ontario, Canada.  However, if your order is being delivered to anywhere else in the world, no sales tax will be added to your bill.


International Customs and Duty Charges

We have established a very good relationship with our shipment agents and customs clearance centres, therefore most orders are processed very quickly.  However, international customs and importation rules vary greatly between countries and they are subject to change without our notice, so there is always a small chance that your order may be delayed while passing through customs (especially in recent times when all governments are examining all international shipments more closely).

Please be aware that we are not able to pay any customs or duty charges that may be billed to your order.  These taxes may or may not be requested by your government when your order enters your country.  Generally, only orders with a value of $200+ US ($300+ CAD) attract duty charges of about 3% (however this also varies from country to country).


Special Notes

1. In the unlikely event that your order is prohibited from entering your country, we will give you a 100% refund providing that the goods are returned with an official customs declaration to this effect (Please note that our other Product Returns terms still apply)
   
   
2. We always make every effort to ensure that you receive your order as promised, however please be advised that we can not take responsibility for shipments not delivered due to incorrect delivery information
